It's worshop season! I've got a few workshops lined up for you, so come along and spread the word, the more the merrier. You'll learn everything you need to know about upcycling furniture with chalk paint and how to finish wood in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

First up this Thursday 6th June, is how to upcyle with chalk paint. You will learn the basics of how to use chalk paint, wax, distress and create a patina. In the session, you’ll upcycle a picture frame (which you get to keep), or you can bring a small item of your choice, such as a tray or a small box. You can then apply these skills to bigger pieces of furniture. 10:30am-1:30pm tickets are £35. Go to Eventbrite Oxford Etsy for tickets, but be quick as it's almost sold out! All materials are included in the cost. No skills are required.

Then it's on with beginners wood finishing techniques on Saturday 8th June, 10am to 1pm, at Oxford Wood Recycling in Abingdon. Whether you would like to learn how to age or weather new wood, or if you just want to learn how to bring out the natural beauty of your wood keeping its raw look for a Scandi vibe or giving it a warm glow for a traditional feel, you'll know just what to do. Learn to use wood stains, mechanical ageing techniques, waxes, oils and varnishes. I will demonstrate and help you master different finishes, and you will go home with a finished coat rack hanger and some tips of the trade. All materials are included in the cost.
